_______________________________________________________
Beginning in
childhood Renea Eshleman enjoyed artwork and crafts. Her
interest was encouraged through participation in craft projects
in Girl Scouts and high school art classes. In 1984 she began to
watercolor paint in classes Ben Kiger taught in Spartanburg. She
also studied under Anna Kay Singley, Tommy Thompson, and Anne
Hightower-Patterson in Columbia and in SC Watercolor Society
painting workshops with Linda Moyer (1997) and with Serge
Hollerback (2000). Renea works primarily from her own
photography.
Renea enjoys painting many subjects; she specializes in custom
projects such as Melanie's, Linda and Wade's, and Charlotte's
that embody the owner's tastes, colors, and subjects.
Employment full-time at the SC Commission on Higher Education and
involvement in ministry as a pastor’s wife limits the time Renea
spends painting.
She displays in the South Carolina State Fair (2005 Merit Award
winner) and the annual show for members of the Trenholm Artists
Guild. Her work is a part of several private collections. She is
a member of the South Carolina Watercolor Society and the
Trenholm Artists Guild.
She holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from
Limestone College and an M.B.A. from Winthrop University. She
lives in Cayce, SC, with her husband, Justin. |
