During the course of this five day workshop, artists will learn an exciting way of spraying transparent watercolor that results in a powerful, unified, graphic painting that will get everyone’s attention. Further, artists will create another painting using the elements of shape, line, and value to simplify subject and use a variety of color plans to create emotion and mood. Discussion of content, the importance of color schemes and line quality will also be discussed. Finally, artists will work intuitively with shape, color, line and especially texture to produce an abstraction with a landscape base. This painting will be as fun and absorbing to view, as it is to paint. There will be both group and individualized instruction with time set aside for critique. This is a fast moving, fun workshop where we all learn and share.  Go to Mark’s  website for more information and photos. www.mehaffeygallery.com

This course is designed for intermediate to advanced painters though all levels are welcome as long as everyone is comfortable with their materials.
