The Program The Springmaid workshop is unique-designed with your professional interests in mind. Each individual artist/instructor has planned a busy schedule of demonstrations, slide/lectures, painting and other studio activities This is a watermedia painting and drawing experience for those artists looking for something different and challenging. Classes will be held each morning and afternoon. Studios will be open for individuals to paint from 8:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. We request that you do not paint in your motel room. After dinner programs will be held in the Convention Center as announced. Friday evenings are reserved for the workshop exhibit. Other activities will be announced for the spouses and entire group at the welcoming and introductions Sunday evenings. All artists/instructors will conduct their individual classes in assigned studios. Some classes may be held outside at locations chosen by the instructor when the weather permits. These schedules will be announced during the opening sessions. Each instructor will help you as an individual to improve your basic skills and methods.

Fees  

$One Price covers the cost of instruction studio fees, private room, breakfast, noon lunches, evening dinners and break refreshments. Note: if you prefer a room with a participating artist, the fee is on average about $100 less per each.  You must find your own room mate.

Spouses and guests are invited, golf, tennis, fishing and many other vacation type activities are available. Cost per couple with only one enrolled in workshop  includes all meals. For those who participate in two or three weeks there will be no charge for weekend lodging and you may keep the same room (meals not included for weekend). Cost for current session may be found on the printable registration form.

Applications are accepted prior to Drawing dates listed in brochure. A Drawing for enrollment is held on that date. No spots will be assigned or guaranteed until that time. Please note: Not all slots are filled by the drawing. If you miss the drawing date call Claudia Thompson 803-547-1007 for inquires about class openings.

Transportation

Springmaid Beach will arrange for transportation to and from the airport. However, you must let us know your flight number and arrival time in advance.  No pick up prior to 8am, or after 6pm on Sat, and 5pm on Sunday.
