Painting the Essence of Nature
Barbara Nechis

This course is not designed for beginners or part-time participants. A different idea or method will be demonstrated and explored each day. You may choose to emphasize either abstract or realistic forms. A wide range of subject matter will be addressed, but the emphasis will be on concept, color, and design. There will be daily demonstrations and critiques, each lasting about an hour so that time for painting will be ample. Critiques will deal with problem solving based on the premise that there is usually a solution, which can turn an unsuccessful painting into a successful one. Individual assistance will be given as needed. Come with an open mind and be ready to explore.
