Kings Mountain State Park. Many in this area know that Kings Mountain was the historic site of a Revolutionary battle that marked a turning point in the war. The military park at the top of the hill has walking trails that take you on a tour of the battle site and inform you in detail of the actual fight itself. |

Kings Mountain Historic Village - worth the time it takes to visit. Information on the site. Depicted here is the Blacksmith Shop. Most structures are restored buildings. Leaving the restored village, turn left. Turn left onto 161 at park entrance.
