Clover |
Clover- in 1776 , David J. McCloud arrived to claim a land grant of 903 acres that would become Clover. Clover was laid out in almost a perfect circle, except for one quarter mile at 'Black Eye Fillin' Station'. Clover grew when the Carolina & Northwestern Railway came through from Yorkville in 1876. It was chartered in 1886. |

| The American Thread Company. Originally built in 1916 and owned by the Hampton Spinning Mills. It was sold in 1945 and renamed. The mill can be found by turning right at the stoplight onto 321. It appears on the left. Make a u-turn and head back out of town on highway 321. | |||||
