Lake Wylie Dam |
The Dam at Lake Wylie - built before the turn of the century, this dam provided power to both York county and Mecklenburg County. The sand used in construction came from a small island known as Sand Island that can be seen across the boat access point at the Fort Mill Landing. |

| Fort Mill Landing turn left onto Dam Road coming out of Nivens Creek Landing. Turn left onto Gray Rock Road. The road bends sharply to the left; the entrance to Fort Mill Landing is the next right. When leaving the landing, turn right onto Gray Rock Road. Turn left onto Sutton Road. Turn right at the stop sign onto Dam Road. Turn right onto highway 160. | |||||
