Fort Mill

Fort Mill - The name is attributed to the Webb Grist Mill and the Catawba Indian Fort that once existed here. The fist resident was Thomas Spratt who was given special permission to settle here by the Catawba Indians in gratitude for aiding them in land disputes with the Cherokee Indians.
